Enhancements
Payroll Module
Payroll Aligned to Attendance
The payroll now aligns with the attendance cycle (cut off dates for payroll processing), providing a comprehensive view of active employees, as well as those transitioning in or out of the organization. It displays employees whose Date of Joining (DOJ) and Date of Termination (DOT) fall within the payroll cycle.
Optimized Salary plus CTC Register
The optimized Salary plus CTC Register generates the required output for a 1,000-employee company in less than 2 minutes. A similar optimization was applied earlier to other data-intensive reports i.e. Investments Report, Salary Register and CTC Register.
Sub-Company names added in Payroll Registers and Reports
Sub-company names now appear in all payroll registers and statutory reports and the generated payroll registers and files adhere to standard file naming conventions.
One-Time Deductions Arrears
Arrears upload facility has been expanded to support all statutory deductions like PF, PT, ESIC, and LWF, and not just TDS, from the one-time deductions file.
Combined Payslip and Tax Computations
The option to download payslips and Tax Computations in a single file for Selected OUs or Selected Employees is now available. This functionality allows the downloading of a combined single-file of employees belonging to the selected OUs.
Lock Previous Payrolls
The lock payroll feature has an additional security feature that does not allow running the payroll for the current month unless the previous months’ payrolls are locked. This will help prevent unintended alterations to past payroll records ensuring data integrity before processing a new payroll run.
Negative Amount Validations
To prevent inadvertent entries for negative amounts in Investment Declarations, validations have been added for all sections to disallow negative amounts except for the Previous Employer Income Details and Income from Other Sources sections.
Attendance Module
Restricted Access for Incomplete Profiles
To encourage employees to complete their profiles, access to Attendance punch-in can be restricted if the profile is incomplete. This is done by selecting the "Block Attendance" checkbox under the "Restrict Access" option, located in: Admin Section > Organization > Organization Details > Miscellaneous > If Profile is Incomplete section.
By Switching On this option and setting the grace period for completing the profile (After Date of Joining (In Days)), the system will block the modules once this date is past.
Policy Assignments
For accurate attendance tracking, the Master Policy and Attendance Policy must be assigned to the employees failing which, their Attendance punch-in option will be disabled. When the punch-in is disabled, employees will immediately highlight this to their managers resulting in swift closure of Attendance policy gaps.
Roost Module
The revamped Roost page gives you better control over your task management process. Task Assignment
Save time and effort by assigning tasks to multiple employees simultaneously directly from the Roost Task List Page located in Employee Section > Roost.
Improvements
Reports Module
Background Payroll Report Processing
A brand new model has been created for the Payroll Reports that take a long time to process and generate. The new model generates these reports in the background while the HR can continue working on other sections of the system. Once the report is ready, the status accordingly changes to reflect this in a section called Downloaded Reports. Further, the reports have been optimized to generate the data in less than a minute instead of the few minutes it took in the older model. This specific model has been applied to the Salary and CTC registers.
Beta Reports in Attendance and Leaves
The report generation process has seen a significant enhancement with the introduction of Beta Reports in the Attendance and Leaves sections. It fetches employee data at lightning-fast speeds while maintaining accuracy. Presently, Beta versions are available for our 6 attendance reports and 4 leave reports. In a week’s time, once we receive confirmation from our control set of Live clients that these reports are fine, the existing reports will be replaced with these Beta reports.
Employee Master Report
The Employee Master Report has been enhanced to provide more comprehensive information about the organizational data. It now includes details about Organizational Units for each employee, which include (but not limited to) Department, Designation, Location.
Attendance Summary Report
This report has also been enhanced to display the Organization Units (OU) for each employee.
Exit Task Due Dates
We have fine-tuned the exit task due dates based on the employee's Expected Date of Relieving, ensuring a smoother transition process. This can be set from the Admin Section > Setup Policies > Onboarding and Exit > Exit Tasks.
Improved Managerial Reporting
To ensure correct approval workflow, employees without an assigned Reporting Manager will not be able to submit requests for Regularization, Leave, Expenses, etc.
New Joinees Upload Limit
Now from the Employee Grid the Bulk upload functionality allows you to upload data for up to 1,000 new joinees per batch. Also, a highly optimized code base has reduced the uploading and processing time for these large data sets from 5 minutes to less than 90 seconds.
Bulk Upload Functionality
We've optimized our bulk upload functionality to make the process of uploading data even more efficient. You can now see a significantly smoother, faster experience across all bulk upload functionalities i.e., Assets, Buckets, Reporting Structure, Accommodation, and Family Details.
Mandatory OUs
If an employee is not assigned the Organizational Units (OUs) that are set as mandatory from the Organization > Profile Configuration page, in that case all modules will be locked for that employee until the mandatory OUs are correctly assigned.
